Our Web Design Process

Your most valued prospects will expect a user-centric experience when they visit your website – a continuous improvement process that begins with a plan.

PHASE I: WEBSITE DISCOVERY

  1. Goal Identification:  understanding the main purpose(s) of the website, marketing, branding, and business goals
  2. Client Questionnaire:  we use this to gather some of the essentials before the plan and proposal
  3. Scope Definition:  the web pages, content, features, functionality, branding and design expectations of the website required to achieve the goals
  4. Keyword Research:  as part of our initial search engine optimization (SEO) initiatives, we will gain some data insights from actual search queries prior to the sitemap creation, and again later to assist with content optimization
  5. Competitive Analysis:  to help assist with content placement, main menu layouts, user experience, and to ensure uniqueness, we will analyze your competitors’ websites

PHASE II:  WEBSITE PLANNING

  1. Sitemap:  after discovery, we create the preliminary sitemap, which is an organized list of web page titles / URLs and the first step of our SEO implementation
  2. Wireframe:  depending on the website’s complexity, we can create a basic website wireframe to illustrate how the content and features interrelate and to assist with user experience design flow
  3. Content Checklist:  authentic and unique content is an important part of branding and search optimization – we will help identify and create a checklist of required content, then determine what you will be providing and/or what you will need help creating during the website development process – and after launch (i.e. news posts)
  4. Website Proposal:  at this point, we should have enough information to complete your website proposal and project timeframe

PHASE III:  WEBSITE DEVELOPMENT

  1. WP Core Setup:  the latest version of the core website platform will be properly installed and setup with the most important components and plugins based on the required functionalities
  2. Visual Design Elements:  with the site architecture and content plan approved, we can start working on the visual design elements to create a consistent, custom-branded theme
  3. Page Layouts:  each page has a different purpose; we will build several templates for specific sections such as individual service pages, all with consistent navigation for best usability
  4. Preliminary Preview:  once we have a theme we are confident to share, along with some of your key pages completed, we will provide a link to view the preliminary website and get your feedback
  5. Content Optimization:  as part of our initial SEO efforts, we will optimize every page from editing the frontend content to the the metadata including but not limited to titles/descriptions, image alt tags, link sharing output, inbound and outbound links
  6. Compatibility Testing:  we make sure your website is displayed properly on all device types (desktop/mobile/tablet) and all major browsers
  7. Preview For Approval:  at this stage, we will share a complete website preview and make any necessary updates if needed
  8. Hosting Setup:  depending on your needs and website type/size, we will recommend a hosting provider and properly setup this account, then migrate your new website
  9. Domain Name Servers:  your domain name will be pointed to the new hosting account / website

After Website Launch, we will ensure everything is working properly, test contact form(s), setup and integrate your analytics. Then, we begin the digital marketing process.
